Polls: Stop Dictating to INEC - Umeh tells PDP

Awka—THE national chairman of All Progressives Grand Alliance, APGA, Chief Victor Umeh, has urged members of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, to stop dictating to the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, on how to go about the forthcoming general elections.
Umeh, who is the senatorial candidate of APGA for Anambra Central, also condemned what he described as the grandstanding of PDP concerning the general elections, claiming the way PDP was going about the elections had the capacity to truncate the country’s democracy.
He said: “PDP is not the only political party contesting this election. They should stop embarrassing this country with their actions and utterances. They should stop dictating to Professor Attahiru Jega how he should conduct the elections”.
Umeh accused some members of PDP in the state of formenting violence and campaign of calumny in electioneering.
According to him, some of them were perfecting plans to rig the election, stressing that the people of the state would resist such act with the last drop of their blood.
The APGA chairman warned that nobody should take APGA’s adoption of President Goodluck Jonathan as its presidential candidate in the March 28 polls for granted.
